La Sera, dat is het project van Katy Goodman, één derde van de band Vivian Girls. Humo schreef over hun album dat het een staaltje ”girl group magic” was met “een handvol in al hun eenvoud briljante songs”, maar Goodman bewijst als La Sera dat het ze het alleen minstens even goed kan.

ECM label, ‘Avenging Angel’. Een cd die op superlatieven werd onthaald en die Taborn catapulteerde naar de hoogste regionen. Nochtans is de muziek niet zo eenvoudig, maar wel met een ongelooflijke zeggingskracht.
Saxofonist Toine Thys presenteert zijn nieuwe cd ‘The End of Certainty’. Een ongewone bezetting: een orgeltrio. De sax van Thys domineert – hij heeft een prachtige toon op zowel de tenor, de sopraan als de basklarinet. De Hammond van Arno Krijger haalt soms stevig uit. Met het voetklavier tekent hij prachtige baslijnen. De typische sound van de Hammond met zijn lichte distortion geeft aan de muziek zijn specifieke kleur. Hier zie je live aan het werk

Twee vrij verscheiden concerten die samen een avontuurlijke en spannende avond maken.(…)
