What does it mean to be a man today?
Real men don’t cry, they brave the fiercest blizzards, make fire and change tyres. But at the same time they should light candles and share the burden of household tasks equally. In short, it’s not always easy being a man in today’s society full of contradictory expectations.
Lucas De Man (creator and TV presenter), Ahmet Polat (photographer and filmmaker) and Rashif El Kaoui (audiovisual artist) decided to raise the alarm on behalf of all men and investigate the matter further.
What does it mean to be a man today? They gained insight into the research of academics, studied the Bible and the Koran, blushed their way through a sex ed class for primitive males and were surprised by the prevalence of medical drug use in education.
Lucas shares some fantastic stories and shocking facts. Stories that are at times eye-opening and even confusing or moving.
