A piece on self-knowledge and acceptance.
Standing on the street in front of a house, you can only guess at what is happening within those four walls. There is laughter, a distant voice emanating from the radio, there is dancing, shouting, there is waiting ... for something different, something more.
“What’s normally kept behind closed doors, windows and walls, now we get to see and hear.” - Inne Goris
Actress Inne Goris invites the viewer inside. With headphones on, you explore every space. Who lives here? What do they do? What do they think about? And why is it often so quiet? Huis (‘house’) is a personal piece – Inne Goris’s mother struggled with severe depression. Together with writer Laura Broekhuysen, scenographer Stef Stessel and photographer Koen Broos, Goris has created a piece about self-knowledge and acceptance, suitable for both children and adults.
