Vooruit kicks off the new season with a long weekend of concerts and performances. A smashing start to a year full of music, theatre, literature, media arts, debates and, of course, plenty of fresh enthusiasm!
We’ll open our doors with performances by Swiss performance collective Velma (Wed 1 & Thu 2 Oct) and Company (Thu 2 & Fri 3 Oct), led by Alexandra Bachzetsis, Tina Bleuler & Lies Vanborm.
On a musical level, you’ll be able to sample everything that Vooruit’s got to offer this season, with bands and artists from the most diverse genres.
Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhansson (Sat 4 Oct) will present his new album Fordlandia in the Sint Barbara church. The Tribe Band (formerly Troisseur) (Wed 1 Oct) will also present their new album, which meanders between folk and jazz. On top of that, you can enjoy Belgian rock with the double bill Coem and V.O. (Thu 2 Oct), check out new work by Kiss the anus of a black cat and Guapo (Fri 3 Oct). Finally, chill out with some reggae by Anthony B (Sat 4 Oct).
