Mon 21 until 27 April at Vooruit and Cinema Sphinx

This year we’re organizing the 7th edition of the courtisane festival. This year you’ll be able to enjoy 7 days of international (short) film, video and media art.

  • The film programme will bring you up to date with exciting and surprising new short films in thematic compilations of fiction, documentaries and experimental work. Featuring new work by renowned visual artists and film directors (Manon de Boer, Luke Fowler and Thomas Köner) and promising young artists (Neil Beloufa, Sofie Benoot and Yoon Sung-A). You’ll see versatile artists exploring the limits and reinventing existing genres. The festival focuses on enthusiastic storytellers who have developed their own visual imagery. Get ready for some truly refreshing artists!
  • The film specials will give you the chance to watch interesting historical films and videos (again).
  • Our three multidisciplinary theme evenings, going by the name of An evening on …, will immerse you in film screenings and audiovisual performances.
  • The exhibition will introduce you to contemporary video and media artists.

And there’s more – peruse the full programme on www.courtisane.be and www.vooruit.be.
