Berghain, both the club and the label, are beyond any doubt on the forefront of today’s techno scene. That’s why we are very proud to have no less than two of their residents on this edition of Kozzmozz.

Having moved to Berlin in 2002 Len Faki took a creative break in order to restart as a DJ and musician. He became a resident at Berghain and launched his new labels Figure and Podium on which he released a series of excellent 12“s. The highlights of his own output were ‘Mekong Delta’ on Ostgut Ton and ‘My Black Sheep’ on Podium. And now he’s just released the third Berghain compilation. Len Faki is no stranger when it comes to dancefloor burning techno. In Belgium he already played at I Love Techno and at Kozzmozz in 2005 and both his visits were very memorable. This year he’s back and he will deliver pounding beats and tear the roof down at Kozzmozz.

Berlin born DJ, producer and label owner Ben Klock is undoubtedly of the most influential players in recent Techno history. As a resident at Berghain he has been able to leave his mark on the club’s sound since its opening in 2004. But the relationship is mutual, as this space definitely had an influence on how Ben approaches dj-ing and producing as well. With his hypnotic, heavily grooving dj-sets and his tracks released on labels such as Ostgut Ton, Bpitch Control and his own imprint Klockworks, established in 2006, Klock managed to gain an excellent, international reputation.

The leading German techno jocks will be joined by a leading Spanish techno god, Oscar Mulero. The man behind the Warm Up label has been releasing a constant flow of records during the past years on labels such as Tresor Records, Minuendo Recordings, Zero Oscillator, Tsunami Records, Evidence Records, Emergence Records and Token Records from our resident Kr!z. And last year was an extra special year with the release a new Tresor Records mix CD, compiling some of the best gems from the label’s catalogue, as well as more new stuff from his label Warm Up next to celebrating his 20 years in the business.

Resident Kr!z is going stronger and stronger with his label Token Records. Kr!z has taken Token on the road with label nights in Shanghai, London, Berlin, Rotterdam, … He has released 13 records in less then two years from artists such as Inigo Kennedy, Phase, Radial, Dimitri Andreas, Makaton, Oscar Mulero and more. As usual he will close the night off with a bang!

Seba Lecompte is already a seasoned dj with his 16 years behind the decks. He has played in many major clubs and festivals in Belgium, Fuse, Kozzmozz, I Love Techno, 10 Days Off, Café D’Anvers, Silo… From 2004 he’s a resident at Decadance in Ghent where he co-organizes the Bang The Box parties. He’s a multi-facetted dj playing solid sets of both house and techno in all it’s forms. He’s also producing as part of the ‘Wings of Sound’ project teaming up with Kim Kurz and ‘Double Shift’ with Shimakum.

Nacht van de liefde / Noche de Amor

The ‘Nacht van de Liefde’ (Noche de Amor) is a dance party organized by vzw Polariteit and vzw Noche de la Pasión. There will be two dance floors: one in the Balzaal and the other in Domzaal.

The Balzaal will be reserved for Argentinean Tango, with music by Cuarteto Reflejo Urbano, Tango Arrabal, Valeria Maside & Anibal Lautaro, etc.
In the Domzaal you will be able to enjoy Cuban salsa, with DJs Tom & Wim and DJ Juan providing sensuous Latin beats!

Apart from dance classes, DJs, live bands and dance performances, you will find even more love in the hallways with chocolate, poetry, etc.

Come to the Noche de Amor and let yourself be surprised and seduced!

Na het overdonderende succes van vorige fuif vliegen we er binnenkort terug in! Op 10 april staan we deze keer in de concertzaal en beginnen we pas om 23u zodat we nog een uurtje langer kunnen doorfeesten tot 6u!

Onbekend is misschien onbemind, maar in dit geval is dat zeker onterecht. DJ Class is de vaste StubruDJ voor al hun fuiven. Gewone Stubrufuvien, De afrekening, “Is het nu ‘80, ‘90 of ‘00” en ook soms MishMash, hij doet het allemaal. AllroundStubru-DJ wordt je niet in één, twee, drie, dus op SPUNK is DJ Class zeker op zijn plaats, van 23u tot 2u.

Na Music For Life is zijn populariteit alleen maar toegenomen, en we zijn blij dat we hem ondertussen als onze resident kunnen beschouwen.

Gerrit K – [Studio Brussel, MishMash]

Een icoon onder de Vlaamse DJ. Er is geen fuif noch zaal die deze DJ in Vlaanderen niet platgedraaid heeft. Alleen of met MishMash Soundsystem & Gunther toert hij rond, en op SPUNK houdt hij zelfs de grootste goch-ik-ga-vanavond-toch-niet-lang-blijven dansend tot 6 uur!

Niet alleen geven we het beste van muziek. Ook zullen we jullie verstellen met de beelden van VJ Subtiv!

Festival van de amateurkunsten

On the second of May 2010, a unique event will take place in Ghent, which will be aiming at almost 5000 participating performers! The entire area situated between the Minard Theatre and St. Peter’s Abbey will be overflowing with passionate artists and an enthusiastic audience.

The event comprises a concert by a huge chorus, a tattoo of musicians, and much much more. Get a temporary calligraphy tattoo, saunter around the event with a busker, visit the theatrical youth village, dance along in the silent disco, have fun in the multi media lab and get your three minutes of fame on one of the festival’s stages.
