‘Traces of places’, an installation by Nikolaus Gansterer, is as poetic as it is simple. Balloons float through the air with a pencil is attached to them with a ribbon. They are suspended above a sheet of paper. When the balloons are set in motion by the air currents caused by the visitors, the pens make markings on the paper. They’re traces of the space and the people who have moved in it. In the same space, you can see the results of previous exhibitions of this work. The drawing made at the game is up will be shown at the next exhibition. The intimate attic of Vooruit is the perfect setting for this installation.
