  • ”Reggie Watts is a most unusual talent: a huge vocal range, a natural musicality, and a sidesplitting wit. Is he a comedian? A singer? A performance artist? I’ve seen him a few times since then and I still can’t decide. Whatever, he ain’t like nobody else.” (Brian Eno)
  • ”Sharp, wry and elusive … Reggie moves seamlessly from skits to songs to off- kilter stand-up, while talking in a subway train full of accents.” (New York Times)
  • ”Expect your mind to be blown by the energetic, category-defying beat-boxing-musical-comedy rap of Watts, one of the most interesting and talented performers in New York’s alt scene.” (Time Out NY)

Reggie Watts, a memorable, remarkably curly beatboxing stand-up comedian is huge in New York. He effortlessly improvises hilarious songs with things that happen in the audience or with suggestions from the crowd. On a TV show recently, he made a song about pancakes on his iPhone.

Brian Eno loves him, just as our very own Stijn, who you know from songs such as ‘Sexjunkie’ and ‘Hot & Sweaty’. He explains why in the video above.
