Paolo Angeli isn’t your average guitarist. Not only does he play his Sardinian guitar like a cello, he also modified the instrument and distorts the sound with pedals and small hammers. It’s his way of presenting a contemporary version of Sardinian folk songs.
Hauschka also plays his instrument in an unconventional way. He performs neo-classical compositions on his prepared piano, adapted with rubbers, aluminium foil and paper. He will present his new album, Foreign Landscapes, and a special project, which will see him perform with a string quintet.
Cellist Zach Miskin is still relatively unknown, but immensely talented. For his debut album he collaborated with The National, The Books, Clogs and Bang On A Can.
