Once upon a time there were three EMI employees. Two of them got married to each other, and the third made a deal with them to make music together without the help of a record company. We Have Band! Their first songs became incredibly popular with London DJs and hip indie blogs. French label Kitsuné included one of their songs on their trendsetting Maison compilations. They made a remix for Bloc Party. Songs like ‘Oh’ and ‘Hear It In The Cans’ soon spread on the internet and social networking sites. Their debut WHB is chock-full of feisty electro/punk/rock/disco with sharp grooves along the lines of ESG, The Rapture, New Order, !!! and PiL.
