From The Beach Boys, Kraftwerk and Autreche to Gwen Stefani and Dizzee Rascal. Magic Arm sure is inspired by a broad range of artists. He likes to compare himself to Beck, The Beta Band and Adem. All of these artists distil their own unique sound from their many influences.
Just like them, Magic Arm culls from pop, rock, folk and electronica. At a Magic Arm concert, it feels like you’re watching ten bands at the same time. That’s probably why Belgian magazine Humo likes to call him the “one-man folktronica parade from Manchester.”
