An intimate Sunday combo at Vooruit: powerful country and folk by the Horse Feathers quartet from Portland, Oregon, and a solo performance on the piano by Norwegian singer Hanne Hukkelberg.

Horse Feathers (US) has just released their amazing third album, ‘Thistled Spring’ (Kill Rock Stars), an album that’s so cosy and warm that its seems to be made for listening to in a comfortable sofa.
With her 2007 album ‘Rykestrasse 68’, female singer-songwriter Hanne Hukkelberg (NO) created a fragile, subdued and playful masterpiece reminiscent of Joanna Newsom, Emiliana Torrini and Cocorosie. Apart from international critical acclaim, it also earned her a Norwegian Grammy. Hukkelberg is a charming performer, as you will see at this concert.
