LUNA TWIST (20:30)

In the early eighties, Luna Twist wrote Belgian music history with a unique mix of catchy rock, sequencers and a hint of James Brown. Their solid live reputation earned them 300 gigs all over the Benelux, before they eventually split in 1983 and pursued their respective solo careers. The band was infused new life in the summer of 2008. A string of remarkable concerts made it clear that the magic hadn’t been lost and the band has continued to perform ever since.

ANNE CLARK (22:15)

Anne Clark, New Wave pioneer and icon, is still widely associated with her biggest hits, ‘Sleeper in Metropolis’ and ‘Our Darkness’. Her dance poetry was wholly unique when she rose to fame in the early eighties. But she has always remained more of a poet than a songwriter.

The cold electronic beats from her early work form the ideal soundtrack for her melancholy and dark lyrics. Live, Clark is not afraid to experiment. Not so long ago, she embarked on an acoustic theatre tour which proved that her songs, stripped of all effects, were still just as powerful. For this show, Anne Clark will bring her entire band: live musicians and a mix of electronica, samples and loops.
