Artistic research raises several questions. The artistic aspect is not always easy to reconcile with the scientific research done in universities. On the other hand some artists find that research interferes with the authentic experience of art. Enough reasons to put together a discussion panel with Luk Vaes (pianist, November Music, Orpheus Institute), Peter Swinnen (composer, Royal Conservatory Brussels), Florian Heyerick (conductor, Hogent) and Jean Paul Van Bendegem (philosopher, VUB). Marc Leman (IPEM-UGent) is the discussion leader.
