Researchers from the Ghent Conservatory (Hogeschool Gent) create a programme with their artistic experiments. Laura Maes her project ‘Oorwonde’ (ear wound) makes you feel and hear the soundtrack of a fictitious operation! Olmo Cornelis serves us his latest composition ‘Nelumbo’ where the voice is adjusted in real-time by the movements of the performers through sensors. Hans Roels lets some musicians demonstrate what a strange term like ‘hyper polyphony’ can mean musically. Liselotte Sels confronts the Western ear with various manifestations of Turkish folk music in Turkey and Ghent with each other. Daan Janssens lets Katrien Gaelens perform one of his solo flute works in which the transformation of timbre plays a prominent role.
