After the commercial success of his second album, ‘She’s Royal’, in 2007, Tarrus Riley is widely regarded the rising star of Jamaican music. His latest, ‘Contagious’, is a confirmation of his talent: 18 tracks featuring a blend of roots reggae, lovers rock and dancehall, co-produced by music legend Dean Fraser (saxophone player for Israel Vibration, Bunny Wailer and Sly & Robbie) and with guest appearances by Etana, Vybz Kartel and Demarco. His lyrics and beliefs also deserve your attention, as he’s a commited member of the Black Soil movement.
