Jasper Erkens is 16 and unstoppable. Sturm und Drang from Diest, Belgium. He got his first guitar for his 11th birthday, wrote his first songs when he was 12, performed his first gig when he was 13 and won a silver medal and the prize of the audience at Humo’s Rock Rally 2008 at age 15. Talk about making a stunning debut! Things have only gotten better since then. The ever-smiling face of a generation has been the warm-up act for international stars such as Adele, Colbie Callait, Scott Matthew and Chris Thompson and has jammed with Elliot Murphy.
His cover of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ surprised friend and foe, and follow-up singles ‘Waiting Like A Dog’ and ‘Stay Alive’ reached the top of the pop and alternative charts.
