Things can go fast sometimes: when Customs released its single ‘Rex’ earlier this spring, it went straight to the top spot in Belgium’s alternative music chart De Afrekening. Musically, Customs is more than vaguely reminiscent of eighties bands House of Love and Duran Duran, but in a more edgy version.
Team William is a young, energetic and slightly crazy Ghent indie pop band that will make everyone happy in an instant. Their sound can be described as pop gone bonkers, audacious, nonchalant and completely off its trolley, but it’s catchy as hell.
De Staat, hailing from Nijmegen, has rapidly earned the status of one of Holland’s finest bands. Their music is a mixture of Americana, rock and dark pop, earning them the label ‘the Dutch Triggerfinger’. One thing is clear, however: De Staat’s raw rock is best enjoyed live!
