Their only Belgian concert and presentation of Octahedron, their new album.
The Mars Volta is the experimental, yet incredibly successful musical project of the wayward duo Omar Rodriguez-López (guitar) and Cedric Bixler Zavala (vocals), once the driving force behind cult band At The Drive-In. By now, The Mars Volta has been playing for eight years by now, recently releasing their new album, Ocatahedron. If you associate The Mars Volta with complicated rhythms, unpredictable prog rock, high-pitched vocals, spectacular raging guitars and a knack for waywardness, you will get exactly what you expect. But if you listen carefully, you will hear that this album is based on acoustic guitar and vocals. On top of that, their live shows are always amazing.
