One of the artists that made quite an impression at our 2008 music festival Etoiles Polaires Montréal in 2008 was Alden Penner. He won the hearts of the audience with an acoustic solo performance and showed his hard rocking side with his band Clues. Penner is a former member of successful indie band The Unicorns. With Clues he shares the stage with Arcade Fire’s Brendan Reed and Lisa Gamble of Hrsta and Gambletron. Online music magazine Goddeau wrote a rave review of their 2009 debut album, which appeared on Constellation in May: “a sparkling debut that is filled to the brim with excellent songs.” If you missed them at Etoiles Polaires Montréal, this is your chance to catch up!
