Old love letters a student wrote to her teacher, refugees and the language barrier, … Eric De Volder gets his inspiration from authentic material and real-life situations. This time he doesn’t present his actors with a found story, but asks them to think about ‘the body’. Starting from their research on the theme, Ceremonia looks for the characters’ scars, left there by life and fate. In this story, De Volder turns their everyday problems to a universally recognizable story. Peter Vermeersch, of the big band Flat Earth Society, will perform the score.
