The unique septet Rêve d’Eléphant – including members of Trio grande, Animus Anima and Octurn – has been following its own course for years, combining diverse genres and non-European influences. A battery of three percussionists defines the rhythm and shows its companions the way. Flute, trumpet, guitar and tuba playfully circle around them. Apart from percussionist Michel Debrulle from Liège, who is known from Trio Bravo, Trio Grande, La Grande Formation and French big band Tous Dehors, tuba player Michel Massot is another of Rêve d’Eléphant’s key figures. Last year he performed at Vooruit with accordionist Tuur Florizoone, while also playing with renowned musicians as Louis Sclavis, Han Bennink, Evan Parker, Kenny Wheeler, Rabih Abou Khalil and many, many more.
