Jazz collective Moker, which will present its new album at this concert, has assembled a few well-known names from the Ghent jazz scene, including Bart Maris (Flat Earth Society, Kamikaze), guitarist Mathias Van de Wiele (Chopsticks) and drummer Giovanni Barcella (Jeroen Van Herzeele Quartet). The quintet is conceived as a music lab in which the musicians can experiment with their own compositions, high-energy improvisations, red-hot up-tempo swing, but also soothing ballads and soundscapes. Interaction and the stimulation of each other’s creativity are essential to these musical brothers in arms. Their concerts are always a unique experience, bursting with energy and drive.
