The story of Romeo and Juliet is one we all know. Now you try telling it from beginning to end… Who was a Montague and who was a Capulet? What role do the cousins Tybalt and Mercutio play? Was Juliet the first to die or was it Romeo? And did they actually kiss? Nature Theater of Oklahoma asked a few friends to summarize the classic Shakespeare play in their own words. These second-hand versions, including uncertainties, invented characters and creative plot developments, form the basis for Nature Theater’s original reinterpretation of the age-old lovestory. Just as in Rambo Solo, Nature Theater focuses on collective memory and how it fails us sometimes.
