If Blow, Ghinzu’s last album, felt like a headbutt, then their latest album could be described as a blow delivered by a sledgehammer. The Walloon band recorded the album with producers of Placebo, The Libertines and Klaxons. These influences can clearly be heard on the album, although Ghinzu succeeds in retaining its own sound.
Ghinzu sold more than 100,000 copies of Blow abroad, so it’s about time Flanders was introduced to this excellent band. Discover them at this concert in Vooruit’s Balzaal, one of the few they will perform in Belgium.
