At the beginning of the season they opened for Amon Tobin, but now they are back with their own show. Together with visual artist Jan Mast they present the premiere of Collapsing Stories (D is done). The musical fireworks on Madensuyu’s latest album D is done enter into dialogue with a flurry of images from Collapsing Stories, Jan Mast’s most recent video work. A moody symbiosis of turmoil and desire. Exploding Plastic Inevitable. With guest appearances by composer Peter Vermeersch (mostly known from Flat Earth Society) and Frans Van Isacker (Franco Saint De Bakker).

The Ghent duo – who came third at Humo’s 2004 Rock Rally, behind Absynthe Minded and The Van Jets – form one of Belgian’s finest rock bands, producing unique rock and experimental noise in the style of Sonic Youth.

Interdisciplinary artist Jan Mast’s favourite themes are the notion of time, space, light and emotion. He constructs layered narratives with the help of cinematic photo series and abstract visuals. These works have already been shown to the public in the ever-expanding ‘phonebook’ book series and in interactive installations (documenta 12 magazines, Manifesta 2007, MuKHA and CCA Kitakyushu Japan). Collapsing Stories is the last eclectic image painting work and contains the latest developments in his research into the possibilities of visualization.
