La mer a disparu and Je suis un garcon are only a few of the children’s books French Françoiz Breut has illustrated. But Breut also regularly trades her pen for a microphone. After providing backing vocals for French pop star Dominique A, she proved that she was a talented solo artist in her own right on her album À l’aveuglette.
With the help of band members Boris Gronemberger and Luc Rambo, Breut performs modern chansons and melancholy pop. Her contributions can be heard on recordings by Yann Tiersen, Louise Attaque, Herman Dune and Calexico.
