Young Belgian band Yuko strikes a balance between subtle post-rock and crackling electronica. With their debut album For Times When Ears Are Sore, released last year on the Belgian Debonair label and produced by Wixel, the band fronted by Ghent-based Kristof Deneijs convinced friend and foe. They describe their own music as follows: “smells of just-left beds, trains and what’s on their way, stomach aches and coffee stains on sunbleached tablecloths” How this sounds?
