Move D & Benjamin Brunn
Geometric and fluid, together these two approaches merge wonderfully on Move D & Benjamin Brunn’s stand-out album ‘Songs From The Beehive’ . At home on labels such as Source Records, Warp, Bine Music and Smallville, Moufang and Brunn melt diverse elements into a musical substance, soothing, yet intriguing and complex. Suddenly a microscopic labyrinth of melodic whirlpools and rhythmic glidings opens up, resulting in an inimitable, unique soundworld. D builds the beehive, Brunn makes the honey…

Claro Intelecto & Andy Stott
Transcending towards a hybrid form of clubmusic, Claro Intelecto & Andy Stott aren’t bound by any genres, bringing together two decades of electronic music into one exciting live-act. Their trademark sound is infused by thick basslines without losing touch with Detroit’s soul, the mark of early Berlin techno, as the legacy that is Manchester’s legendary ‘warehouse’ scene. Feeling at ease on the Manchester-based label Modern Love, both Claro Intelecto as Andy Stott have released seminal releases such as the Warehouse Sessions, Merciless and multiple, widely-acclaimed classic releases.

Efdemin
Efdemin, a graduate of the Institute for Computer Music in Vienna, has attention for detail. Born Phillip Sollmann, the Berlin-based producer put together sound installations as well as morphed sopranos into howling voices. Leading the way forward through the converging thickets of minimal, deep house and techno, Sollmann released his self-titled debut album on Hamburg’s Dial imprint. Home to like-minded technoists like the melodic Pantha Du Prince as the romantic Lawrence, Efdemin is all about the careful, calculated groove, once more proven on the acclaimed mix-cd by his hands ‘Carry On, Let’s Pretend We’re Not In The Room’, released on Curle Recordings. Oh, and did we tell he’s one of the snappiest men in dance music, rarely spotted not wearing shirt and tie? See for yourself…
Peter van Hoesen
Involved in live performances, dj’ing, sounddesign and works for installations and contemporary dance and theatre performances, Brussels-based electronic composer Peter Van Hoesen feels equally at home in an artscentre as on a packed dancefloor. Founded in 2008, his outlet for deep, physical techno music Time To Express (a division of vzw Foton) ‘evokes the early morning feeling of a bass-heavy warehouse marathon. Strobes flash, your chest is rattling, sweat burns burn your eyes and you crave for more…’. 2009 and beyond will see the label expanding its horizons, with releases by Sendai, Cio D’Or and Donato Dozzy and remixes by MLZ and Function. The bass moves us forward…
