Machinefabriek
From silence to noise. Machinefabriek describes his music as “subtle listening electronic music; a film score without images; once very abstract, the other time more melodic and on the verge of song-based compositions.” Machinefabriek’s work is marked by a conceiling but gradually increasing restlessness, which also defines his musical output, enormous and characterized by a DIY (Do It Yourself) attitude.

Eavesdropper
Being around for quite a while, Yves De Mey aka Brussels-based soundartist Eavesdropper started out as a drum’n’bass & breakbeat producer, quickly moving towards the field of the more experimental side of things, bringing music for theatre, performances, contemporary dance and films. Having shared stage and studio with fellow producers & composers as Fennesz, Riz Maslen (Neotropic), Alex Waterman & Simon Lenski (DAAU), he recently teamed up with techno-producer Peter Van Hoesen, releasing a first ‘Sendai’ release on T2X. Early 2009 sees the release of his highly-anticipated new album ‘Lichtung’, released on Richard Chartier’s Line imprint. At ResonanceGhent 2009 he offers us an exclusive premiere.

Alva Noto
Combining hybrid forms of audiovisual art, Carsten Nicolai a.k.a. Alva Noto creates dense soundworks which constantly evolve through time and space, making the essence of pure electricity audible. After finishing the Cycle series and introducing the Xerrox volumes on his label Raster Noton, Nicolai returns to a more rhythmic and mathematical approach towards sound, entitled Unitxt. For ResonanceGhent 2009 Alva Noto brings a Belgian premiere of the audiovisual Unitxt performance.
