The Baboons – in their early twenties – draw inspiration from blues, rhythm and blues, western swing, early rock ‘n’ roll, surf rock, rockabilly, etc. Both Black musicians (e.g. Tarheel Slim, Junior Wells, Ray Sharpe, Joe Tex, Bo Diddley) and white artists such as Hank Williams and Johnny Cash have influenced their music greatly. This five-piece band does, however, dispose of a unique sound. Whereas they used to play mostly covers, they now have more and more of their own songs. Are you in for some young roots ‘n’ roll? Check this out!!!
