For more than 40 years Danish drummer Han Bennink has been shining on jazz stages across the globe. But he has now set up an eponymous ensemble for the first time, with two young wolves challenging his musical creativity. Calling Han Bennink a drum phenomenon is not an exaggeration. We think it’s fantastic that this man, who has worked with everyone from Eric Dolphy to Brotzman and Mike Patton to John Zorn and Fred Frith, has taken on board two young talents.
