TORNGAT
With the innovating trio Torngat, you can expect playful compositions and surprising improvisations on synths, piano, horn, trumpet, xylophone, drums and melodica. The drummer keeps the rhythm with his feet on the bass drum and cymbal, while playing the keys with his left hand and trumpet with his right.
- Who? With Pietro Armato (French horn, electronics, percussion), member of Arcade Fire, Bell Orchestre and Islands.
CLUES
Clues is Brendan Reed’s (formerly of Arcade Fire) and Alden Penner’s (The Unicorns) new band. Their debut album, recorded with the producer of Arcade Fire and Beirut, will be released soon. At Etoiles Polaires Montréal festival you’ll get a taste of their stumbling indie rock and lo-fi pop songs with sharp edges.
- Sounds like? Death Cab for Cutie, Grandaddy, Broken Social Scene.
