The sixth Les van de Eeuw (Lesson of the Century) – the first one took place on the eve of the invasion of Iraq in 2003 under the name Oorlog is geen Kunst (War is not Art) – will focus on Fort Europe. Candidate member states as well as economic and political refugees are aching to enter the heaven on earth called Europe. But a lot of inhabitants of Fort Europe want to keep the gates shut in order to maintain their own welfare. And by the way, what is Europe, what does the E.U do? We’re afraid that a lot of Europeans don’t really know. In short, the E.U. has an image problem.

A debate with Guy Verhofstadt (Open VLD), Rob Heirbaut (VRT news), Hendrik Vos (professor at Ghent University), Jan Leyers, Paul Goossens, Kathleen Van Brempt, Francesca Vanthielen, Anne Van Lancker, Annemie Neyts, Bart Staes, Marianne Thyssen, Derk Jan Eppink, …
