SARAH SISKIND
The Amerikaanse singer-songwriter Sarah Siskind, currently touring with Bon Iver, will open the show.
LAND OF TALK
Land of Talk is currently one of the most prominent bands on the Canadian indie scene, with their melodious and catchy rock and a charismatic frontwoman. Their album, which will be released on the Saddle Creek label in October, was entirely recorded in an old church in Montreal with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon acting as producer. You can listen to their newly released single on our site. “Land of Talk is one of the best discoveries of this Indian Summer. These guys deserve applause and cheers, ‘cause mark our words, you’ll be hearing from this band.” (Kindamuzik)
BON IVER
Back in May, Bon Iver gave an unforgettable concert in our Balzaal. He promised he would be back and kept his word. As Land of Talk’s producer, he deserves a place at Etoiles Polaires, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Watch the most magical moment of his concert in Vooruit last year, when the audience sang along to Wolves, or the beautiful version of For Emma, Forever Ago that he recorded for La Blogothèque.
“Vernon had the audience in his hands and became completely entranced by his musical Eucharist” (De Standaard), “this concert was of priceless value” (Goddeau), “pure thrills. If you can get goosebumps in a room this hot, it says something about how incredibly beautiful this concert was” (Janne, Vooruit community member).
