Taima is a fresh-faced band formed around Elisapie Isaac, and Québécois Alain Auger. It’s one of the only Inuit pop bands to reach a wide audience by mixing traditional elements with western pop.

Mari Boine has gained a solid reputation in Belgium. She writes politically-charged lyrics about the Sami (the inhabitants of Lapland), nature and life in the High North of Norway. On stage, the diminutive singer takes on the magical aura of a shaman.
