The “fadista” Raquel Tavares may only be in her early twenties, but she is nevertheless deeply rooted in the fado tradition. A member of an illustrious fado family, she manages to mix classic influences with a fresh, new style. She performs in the most prestigious fado houses in Lisbon, with such high-profile musicians as Jorge Fernando, Celeste Rodrigues and Ana Moura, and is considered by connoisseurs the up-and-coming star of a new fado generation.

DJ Grazhoppa’s DJ Bigband brings together a unique combination of sounds for their new project ‘Around the World in 80 beats’. The DJs use samples from different countries, cultures and eras. At this concert the power of the turntable is called upon to assemble and manipulate the sound of several music instruments.

This exquisite DJ set will be supported by a horn section led by Erwin Vann and the voice of Monique Harcum. Get ready for an exciting musical trip around the world!
