Jamaican reggae singer Anthony B is heavily influenced by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. A follower of the Bobo Ashanti branch of the Rastafari movement, he propagates a strong Afrocentric vision and is committed to social and political issues. His traditional dress (long robes, turban and staff) and customs are the outward symbols of his belief. Making his debut in 1993, he was a household name three years later with hits such as Fire Pon Rome, Raid di Barn, Rumour and Repentance Time. So far Anthony B has released no less than 18 albums, among which were Black Star (with contributions by Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg and many more) and My Hope, both from 2005, making him one of the most respected reggae artists in the world, renowned for his high-energy live shows. His most recent album is Higher Meditation (Greensleeves). New work is expected to be released in September.

Also with Raggamuffin White Man and NSG Sound.
