In the three-part theatre cycle Triptiek van de macht, Guy Cassiers concentrates on the complex connection between art, politics and power. Atropa, the final part of the trilogy, focuses on the mother of all wars: the Trojan War. Tom Lanoye selected a number of Greek tragedies about Agamemnon, commander of the Achaens, got to work and wrote a powerful contemporary text for the theatre. Past and present intertwine; references to the Iraq war make the piece come full circle.
