American performance artist Davis Freeman worked with Forced Entertainment, Meg Stuart and Superamas (for their BIG-trilogy which could be seen during the festival the game is up! 2008 and for Empire, which will play in Vooruit in January 2009). In Saving Lies he tries to manipulate the audience’s viewpoint. The performance starts out with all the spectators together, but soon privileged groups are invited by the actors to individual solos that will take place in various venues within the theatre complex. In Saving Lies no two-audience members will see the same show, they configure their own stories and connections….
