Tien geboden is based on the TV series The Decalogue by Polish film director Krzysztof Kieslowski. The inhabitants of an apartment building in Warsaw are left to their own devices in a world lacking clear standards. Tomek spies on the woman next door until she turns the tables on him. Majka, a teenage mom, runs away with her daughter to live with her ex-boyfriend who resides in the forest and makes teddy bears. Zofia, an Ethics professor, gets a visit from a Jewish woman who reminds her of the hardest choice she ever had to make. Roman is impotent and encourages his wife to see other men. Brothers Jerzy and Artur inherit a stamp collection, of which they hardly realize the value, from their father. Five tragicomic stories as clear and sharp as glass.
