Seven souls on a set made out of nine tons of glass shards. It is in this overwhelming setting that Chokri Ben Chikha (Union Suspecte), together with Arne Sierens (Compagnie Cecilia) this time, performs the final part of a much-discussed trilogy, which included De Leeuw van Vlaanderen (2003) and Onze Lieve Vrouw van Vlaanderen (2005). The iconography of The Last Supper and the whimsical childhood of the immigrant Chikha brothers in the Belgian seaside town Blankenberge form the background for this performance about saying goodbye, clashing ideals and outdated predictions. How tension in the immigrant community meets an important part of Flemish collective history.
