Winning a local competition for young jazz talent earned Brazzaville a well-deserved place in the JazzLab Series. This promising six-piece band mainly performs their own compositions, which at times even include danceable and funky riffs. The band sure knows how to start a party with an attractive mix of seventies jazz and funk, courtesy of Sly Stone and Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters. Brazzaville’s music also appeals to a wider audience, as proved by their adventures in pop music with Zap Mama, Dez Mona and De La Vega.
