Norwegian duo Humcrush are joined by singer Sidsel Endresen for an unusual collaboration crossing their groovy electro acoustic nu jazz with her abstract, minimalist vocals. Humcrush’s Ståle Storløkken and Thomas Strønen first showed their talent playing in Norwegian avant-garde bands Food and Supersilent (both having trumpeter Arve Hendrikson in their ranks). The tunes they cook up as Humcrush are a perfect marriage between rhythmic wizardry and abstract to melodic electronica… A strange yet effective mix. Waltzing across it all is Sidsel Endresen’s unique voice. Endresen is the godmother of the Norwegian experimental scene, bringing forth artists such as Hanne Hukkelberg and many more.
