Nachtschade brings together striptease and art. Seven icons of the contemporary performing arts scene will choreograph a striptease. They will not work with their usual dancers or actors, but with professional strippers. Two different worlds – those of art and entertainment – will collide.
The choreographers are Eric De Volder, Caterina Sagna, Vera Mantero, Alain Platel, Johanne Saunier, Claudia Triozzi and Wim Vandekeybus: experienced and renowned artists from the contemporary performing arts scene. In Nachtschade, they will put their mark on a striptease act.
Nachtschade is produced by Victoria and co-produced by Vooruit, Parc de la Villette and the Flanders Festival Ghent. The show will be directed by Pol Heyvaert and Drik Pauwels. The music will be provided by composer Ad Cominotto (Arno, Viktor Lazlo, Adamo, etc.), who created a score in collaboration with the choreographers which will be performed by the Emanon ensemble.
The show premiered at Vooruit and returns for the final performance.
