Ghent music collective Kapotski will launch K.I.S.R.T.S. 2008, a.k.a. the Kapotski International Shopdrop Record Tracking System, at the game is up! It sounds like a bit of a mouthful, but it’s a simple and fun concept.
Kapotski will distribute 500 vinyl records in music stores worldwide. The records will be free of charge for anyone who is lucky enough to find them and will feature recordings of the ‘Emieltapes’, the improvisation sessions Kapotski held with Isolde Lasoen, Mauro Pawlowski, Jean-Marie Aerts, etc.
But the story continues…every one of these records carries a unique code which allows you to log in to http://kisrts.vooruit.be, an online tracking system. If you become the proud owner of one of these records within the following 10 years, you will be able to view the path travelled by your record so far, log in and add your story.
