After her dance studies in New York (BFA in Dance at the Tisch School of the Arts) and Brussels (P.A.R.T.S.), American Eleanor Bauer captured the audience with witty short performances like ELEANOR! and Dig my aura.
The project came to life with the help of dancers Femke Gyselinck and Manon Santkin, video artist Inneke Van Waeyenberghe, and a series of guests and infiltrators. At Large is made up of several components aimed at expanding the artistic perspective of a choreographer in today’s world
Following the live performance the audience will receive a book in which dancers and choreographers from New York and Brussels talk about the personal, professional and social relevance of their work. In the lobby, you will be able to watch a video document of social dance phenomena circulating on the Internet, and a new dance fad created by Bauer and her collaborators called “Scratching,”. Back at home you will be able to download the At Large screensaver. The intention of this entire event is to transgress and broaden the idea that we have of dance today.
