“Improving outdoor advertising since 1977” is the catchphrase of the Billboard Liberation Front. The idea is as simple as it is genius: by making small adjustments to billboards, the Billboard Liberation Front creates hilarious and often highly critical street marketing campaigns. By changing one small letter, they ridicule an entire company. That’s how “Let’s meet at Starbucks” became “Let’s meet at Starfucks”…
View more images of their work on vooruit.be or read their site and blog on www.billboardliberation.com – you’ll be amazed by their wit and creativity. No wonder that many of their campaigns have been picked up by the press. Keep your eyes peeled on the way to this talk, who knows, they might have hit the Ghent billboards too!...But if you don’t like watching from the sidelines, you can find all the information you need to become a billboard hacker yourself on their site!
