For the documentary Our Daily Bread, Austrian film director Nikolaus Geyrhalter filmed the practices in the European food industry for two years. Without explicit commentary or suggestive background music he shows how our food gets from the farm to the plate. The images speak for themselves, so it’s up to viewer to decide which price he is willing to pay for his daily bread. According to Flemish weekly Humo it is “an impressive documentary and an important, vital document.”
The Antwerp band DAAU has composed a soundtrack for Our Daily Bread and will perform it live at the screening, adding an extra dimension to the documentary.
