Back & Forth is a multimedia play about the impact migration has on the lives of ethnic girls and women. Together with the Steunpunt voor Allochtone meisjes en vrouwen (the Flemish centre for Ethnic girls and women), Victoria Deluxe interviewed women from Bosnia, Turkey, Albania, Morocco, the Philippines and Mexico who have emigrated to Belgium. These raw testimonies confront us with the scars left by each of these migration stories: from alienation, loss and homesickness to the need for personal development and freedom.
Four testimonies are used in this multimedia play combining spoken word, music and pictures.
